Your item goes live on the channel and auction page
Approved items are posted to the DPS Auction channel and listed on the auction page. Early bids start coming in — non-binding, no payment yet. Just real buyers signalling interest.

03 — Auction opens
10 early bids triggers the live auction
Once 10 bids are placed, the auction goes live. All bidders are notified via Telegram and email. Every new bid must beat the current highest — and resets the 10-minute countdown.

10 minutes of silence closes the auction
When no new bid comes in for 10 minutes, the auction closes. The highest bidder gets a Paystack payment link via Telegram and email. They have 15 minutes to pay.

Payment held until the buyer confirms pickup
DPS holds the payment in escrow. The buyer gets the seller's contact to arrange pickup directly. Once confirmed, the seller receives their 85% payout. Both parties are notified throughout.

06 — No payment?
3 chances. Then it moves on.
If the winner doesn't pay, the next highest bidder gets their chance. After 3 failed attempts the auction expires. The seller is notified and can choose to relist.

The rules

The rules. Short and clear.

For buyers
01
Auction opens when 10 bids are placed. Early bids are non-binding — no payment yet.
02
Once live, every 10 minutes the highest bidder gets a Paystack invoice.
03
You have 15 minutes to pay. Miss it and you're disqualified — next bidder gets their turn.
04
Minimum raise during live auction: ₦1,000 above the current highest bid.
05
Ties broken by timestamp. First bid at that amount wins priority.

Payment held in escrow until pickup is confirmed. You're protected.
For sellers
01
No listing fee. DPS takes 15% only if the item sells.

Set a starting price — the minimum you'll accept. Keep it real or it won't get approved.

Not every item gets approved. Admin checks quality, starting price, and photos. Weak listings are rejected — no exceptions.

Once approved, your item is spotlighted to the DPS Auction channel and shown on the items page. That's your promotion.

If unsold after 24 hours, item is listed at the starting price as a direct buy. You choose to relist or not.
06
85% payout released after buyer confirms pickup. Same day where possible.
