SERVICE

How we operate, what we expect, and how we protect everyone involved.

Effective Date: January 2025

OVERVIEW

Declutter Pawn Shop provides a digital marketplace infrastructure connecting buyers and sellers of secondhand goods across Lagos, Nigeria.

ROLE OF DPS

We facilitate escrow, listing review, and communication support. We are not the physical custodian of listed items. We act as a neutral intermediary holding funds on behalf of both parties.

BUYER RESPONSIBILITIES

Verify item condition at pickup before confirming
Arrange logistics independently with the seller
Confirm satisfaction before payment release — this is final
Raise any disputes before confirming receipt

SELLER RESPONSIBILITIES

Accurately describe item condition and specifications
Be available and responsive for pickup coordination
Deliver item exactly as described in the listing
Notify DPS once pickup is confirmed by buyer

ESCROW POLICY

Funds are held by Declutter Pawn Shop until the buyer confirms pickup. Once confirmed, funds are released to the seller minus DPS commission. This process is final.

DISPUTES

All disputes must be raised before confirmation of pickup. Once a buyer confirms receipt, the transaction is considered complete. Post-confirmation disputes may not qualify for escrow reversal.

COMMISSION

DPS charges a service fee of 12–15% per completed transaction. This fee is deducted from the seller's payout. Buyers pay the listed price with no additional charges.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

DPS is not liable for physical damages or losses occurring during logistics arranged independently by buyers or sellers. We are not responsible for items damaged, lost, or misrepresented after escrow release.
